FAQ
Do you require a deposit? When is my session fee due?
Yes. Starting in 2026, all senior sessions will require a $150 non-refundable deposit. This must be paid via Venmo to secure your spot on my calendar. The remainder of your session cost will be due at your session on the day we take it. Cash, Check or Venmo accepted. I have decided to start requiring a deposit to help protect me from no shows and cancellations without notice.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Stanberry, MO and am happy to travel to you. If more than 45 miles is needed to reach you, a small travel fee will be asked.
How do you deliver photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
I do not set a limit on the number of images you will receive. I will select the best images from your shoot and edit them for your gallery. A typical senior session for me will include well over 100 photos.
What if I don't have any ideas for locations to take my pictures?
That's totally fine! I always think that if you have somewhere that means something to you, it might make your photos even more special. But if not, I am more than willing to help pick them out for you! If your hometown is not the best option, my most common suggestions are in either St. Joseph or Maryville.
Are printing rights included? Do we have to order prints from you?
With each session, I provide a copyright release with your photos, giving you full permission to print or post whatever you like. Feel free to take the digital files wherever you like to have them printed and I encourage you to share your photos on social media, as well!
What happens if the weather is bad or if something unavoidable comes up?
I will do my best to re-schedule your session if it is absolutely necessary. I typically ask my clients to make the call if they feel our session is not possible to due to weather. If you want to risk the rain moving in on us or stand in some wet grass after it poured earlier in the day – I will be there! However, I understand the unpredictability of Missouri weather and I build in at least one weekend date per month to use for re-scheduling.
